University of New Hampshire Has Musical Theatre Position

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, MUSICAL THEATRE

 

The University of New Hampshire seeks an energetic teacher/director for its active Musical Theatre program.  MFA with experience in staging and music directing all genres of musicals.  Duties include teaching a 2/2 course load (2 semester system), directing at least one musical production per year and in-house and NYC showcases, and vocal coaching.  Strong knowledge of musical theatre canon and history and piano skills are expected.  Must be able to work collaboratively with diverse groups of faculty, staff, and students.  More information regarding the department can be accessed at: http://www.unh.edu/theatre-dance.



Interested persons should submit a letter of application, resume, terminal degree transcripts, three current letters of recommendation and a video or DVD that represents their work.  Send all materials to David Kaye, Chair, Department of Theatre and Dance, University of New Hampshire, 30 Academic Way, Durham, New Hampshire, 03824-3538.  Review of materials will begin January 10, 2012 and continue until position is filled.  Hiring is subject to University funding approval.
