UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, TAMPA CAMPUS SCHOOL OF THEATRE & DANCE The University of South Florida, located in a major metropolitan living laboratory called Tampa Bay, is looking for accomplished researchers and scholars with a commitment to high-impact research, student success, innovation and entrepreneurship. Position: Instructor I – Theatre Performance, 9-month non-tenure earning faculty position; start date of August 2017. Salary: Competitive Minimum: MFA in Acting or Performance Pedagogy; demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of theatre performance courses including all levels of acting, improvisation, movement for actors and advanced movement courses such as stage combat, circus, clowning, and mask at the undergraduate level. Preferred: Certification as a stage combat instructor; at least 3 years’ experience teaching acting and movement at the University level. Duties: Duties will include teaching 3-4 performance courses per semester and/or directing productions in the school’s theatre season, service on committees of the school, college and University.
