Associate Professor (Teaching Track) in Music Theater, Carnegie Mellon University

Are you an expert vocal coach or music director? Do you have passion for all things Music Theater? In this position you will be working at the foremost Music Theater training ground in the country, educating the next generation of Broadway talent.

In this role, you will: Instruct students within a BFA conservatory program. Mentor and coach music theater students. Serve as music director of various projects throughout the academic year.

Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in music theater, music theory, music studies or a similar field. You have an MFA -OR- the equivalent professional experience including national and/or international practice in diverse areas of music theater. Previous experience as a vocal coach, pianist and accompanist, and/or music director. A keen knowledge of Broadway singing techniques, styles and repertoire.
