The School of Theatre and Dance invites an energetic, innovative and collaborative Visiting Assistant Professor to join a progressive faculty of 18 for a 9-month, one-year term position in Acting starting August, 2017. Requirements: MFA in Theatre, or other terminal degree in Performance Area. Minimum one year teaching at the University level. Ability to teach undergraduate courses in a Stanislavsky-based acting sequence and a secondary area, which may include movement, multi-cultural or non-Western theatre, professional aspects, devising theatre. Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaborative, and time management skills essential. Candidate will collaborate with full-time theatre and dance faculty and a technical staff of five. Opportunities available for summer employment at Porthouse Theatre, the School’s professional summer theatre.
