Assistant Professor: Acting at UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre

Assistant Professor, Acting, UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre. Tenure-track position beginning August 15, 2018. Seeking an MFA or PhD with college-level teaching experience in contemporary acting practice, emphasis on voice and speech. Expertise in IPA, Dialects, Basic Shakespeare Verse and Text desired. Additional areas of expertise may include Musical Theatre, African-American Theatre and/or Race and Performance, and Culturally Responsive Community Practice. A 3/2 teaching load (including one general education course), participation in departmental service and governance, and engagement in ongoing creative and/or scholarly research commensurate with attaining tenure at a research institution are expected.
