Assistant/Associate Professor of Acting: Western Michigan University Department of Theatre seeks a master acting teacher for a tenure track appointment. Position begins August 2018. Assignments will include teaching acting at all levels within our BFA program, directing University Theatre productions, and overseeing the acting sequence from the beginning through professional preparation level. The Department is particularly interested in candidates invested in the training of diverse populations of BFA actors
Qualifications: MFA in Acting, minimum three years university teaching experience, and professional acting credits. We also value experience in on-camera training and/or classical theatre. The Department of Theatre offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with emphases in acting, design/ technical production, arts management, stage management, and music theatre. It is part of The College of Fine Arts that includes the Schools of Art and Music and the Department of Dance.
