POSITION REVISED: Assistant or Associate Professor, Directing, UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre. Tenure-track position beginning August 15, 2019. Required: MFA or PhD; three years college-level teaching experience. Seeking a highly collaborative artist/scholar with expertise teaching a variety of contemporary directing pedagogies/practices. Experience directing a range of genres/styles required (in keeping with an undergraduate-level training program). Additional areas of expertise may include Musical Theatre, Performance Studies, Dramaturgy, Devised Theatre, and/or Playwriting. A 3/2 teaching load, participation in departmental service/governance, and engagement in ongoing creative and/or scholarly research commensurate with attaining tenure or promotion at a research institution expected.
