Assistant or Associate Professor of Directing

Assistant or Associate Professor, Directing, UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre. Tenure-track position beginning August 15, 2019. Seeking a PhD or MFA with minimum three years college-level teaching experience in a variety of contemporary directing practices. Expertise in directing Musical Theatre required, along with other genres/styles in keeping with undergraduate-level training. Additional areas of expertise may include Performance Studies, Dramaturgy, Devised Theatre, and Playwriting. A 3/2 teaching load, participation in departmental service and governance, and engagement in ongoing creative and/or scholarly research commensurate with attaining tenure or promotion at a research institution are expected.
