Assistant Professor

The Department of Dramatic Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Voice and Speech. The position leads vocal training for the Professional Actor Training Program (M.F.A) teaching a comprehensive six-semester program in voice, speech and dialects and serves as Voice and Dialect Coach for PlayMakers Repertory Company, the professional LORT theatre associated with the Department of Dramatic Art. The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience as a voice teacher/vocal coach at the university, college, or professional level, and have demonstrated professional excellence as evidenced by prior professional achievement and ongoing professional contacts. Applicants should possess a Master of Fine Arts degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
