Assistant Professor, Theatre Design-Scenic, Costume, or Lighting 9 month, tenure track. Salary Competitive & commensurate. August 2019 start.
DUTIES: Teaching from a wide variety of design courses dependent on area of expertise. Three assignments in design and/or teaching per semester. Mentoring of BA design students. Leadership of the design area. Conduct research and/or creative work with nation or international impact.
Minimum Qualifications: MFA in Theatre Design. Demonstrated University teaching experience in theatre design. Demonstrated ability to design scenery, costumes and/or lighting for mainstage productions in theatre, dance and/or musicals.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following: National and/or international professional design credits in theatre and/or dance; Membership in USA (United Scenic Artists); Expertise in second design area; Leadership and/or management experience.
