Visiting Assistant Professor - Lighting Design

The School of Theatre at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Lighting Design beginning August 1, 2019. This is a one-year position with the possibility of being extended. Qualifications: MFA in Design with special expertise in Lighting, demonstrated professional achievement as a lighting designer, and university-level teaching experience. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Lighting and other design and technical theatre areas as qualified; mentoring student lighting designers for school productions and potentially designing lighting for some school productions. Candidates fluent in current versions and workflows in VectorWorks and Lightwright are preferred. Skill and interest in training and supervision of student stage managers also desirable. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
