Master Properties Assistant

Master Properties Assistant – Yale School of Drama /Yale Repertory Theatre (YSD/YRT) seeks a positive and highly motivated creative thinker to join our staff as long term seasonal Master Properties Assistant. Responsibilities include assisting in providing and constructing props, furniture, and set dressing for YRT productions, while maintaining high standards for safety and craftsmanship. This position works closely with the Properties Master and Properties Craftsman, as well as advises and oversees student workers. Ideal candidates have professional experience in a wide range of shop skills and money/budget management. Minimum salary is $25.59/hr., plus Yale University benefits package. Opportunity to audit MFA level courses while expanding professional resume credits. Nine-month renewable position (August through May), 37.5 hours/week, with some overtime available as needed per show. Preferred start date December 1, 2018. Assistant Professor Theatre Scenic Design

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Scenic Design, beginning August 2019. The successful candidate will teach Scenic Arts courses in the Theater & Dance department, design productions, teach additional courses in relevant areas of expertise (i.e., Scene Painting, Props Design and Construction, Collaborative Studies, Theatre Technology, Vectorworks, etc.), and advise students. Service through committee work to the department and the university is expected.

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University offers a BFA in Acting and a BA in Theatre (with four tracks: Acting/Directing, Stage Management, Dance, and Tech/Design). The department works closely with the BW Music Theatre and Opera programs, and we have an active partnership with Great Lakes Theater. The University seeks to attract a culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. Qualifications: MFA in Scenic Design and professional design experience.

Properties Stock Manager

Properties Stock Manager – Yale School of Drama /Yale Repertory Theatre (YSD/YRT) seeks a highly motivated and positive individual to join our staff as seasonal Properties Stock Manager. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments with borrowing or renting groups, delivering and picking up rental items, producing invoices and processing billing payments, restocking and organizing prop items. Requirements include: valid driver’s license, ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50lbs; ability to use Word, Excel, and electronic calendaring systems; customer service skills preferred. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Opportunity to audit MFA level courses while expanding professional resume credits. Nine-month renewable position (August through May); minimum pay rate $20.45/hr.; 20 hours/week position with benefits. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
